For years, Jordana measured her worth by how perfectly she could perform and how successful she was by external measures. Then she discovered what actually creates impact; not perfection, but the courage to become fully yourself. Now she helps leaders, veterans and military spouses, entrepreneurs, and organizations do the same.
Who is Jordana?
Jordana Megonigal is a strategist, entrepreneur, and three-time founder and business owner with more than two decades of experience in journalism, publishing, branding, and marketing.
She began as a freelance writer in 1996, then went on to earn her B.A. in Journalism from the Grady College of Journalism at the University of Georgia. She went on to serve as editor-in-chief at Peachtree Media Group, overseeing 22 annual issues across titles including Greenville Magazine, Greenville Design, and SC Magazine, before spending nearly a decade as publisher and editor-in-chief of Business Black Box magazine—South Carolina's largest business publication at that time—where she ran every part of the operation, from editorial and design to sales, subscriptions, and events.
In 2015, she founded The RECON Network, where she serves as Founder and CEO, helping veterans and military spouses find purpose and direction during and after their transition to civilian life. She is also co-founder and COO of Elysium Creative Collective, a creative agency built on a global network of freelance artists, and founder and CEO of Mark.20, an app designed to serve the post-military community in their transition. and has run a strategic marketing and publishing consultancy since 2018.
Jordana is also a certified graduate of Cornell University's Women's Entrepreneurship program (2019) and the Riley Institute at Furman University's Diversity Leaders Initiative (2015).
